Day 03 After breakfast drive to Al-Nabek region to visit the early christian convent of Mar Mousa, proceed to Seydnaya to visit the convent of our Lady then to Maalula where people still speak Aramaic (language of the Christ), visit of the convent of Mar Sarkis & the Monastery of Mar Takla, dinner & overnight in Maalula. Day 04 After breakfast: drive to Homs to visit the church of Um-Azzunar where a belt belonging to the St. Virgin is exposed. Continuation to the medieval castle of the Crac des Chevalier dating back to the time of crusaders, proceed to visit the nearby convent of St. George dating back to the 15th century, dinner & overnight in the village of Meshtaya. Day 05 After breakfast drive to Tartous to visit it cathedral-museum, proceed to Aphamea for a sightseeing, then Maaret Al-Nouman, arrival to Aleppo, dinner & overnight. Day 06 After breakfast: excursion to the Byzantine sites of St. Simeon, the ancient churches of Qalb Loze & Kirk Bizeh, back to Aleppo for a city tour including the citadel, the christian quarter & the bazaars, dinner & overnight. Day 07 After breakfast drive to Palmyra, on Road stop to visit the Byzantine site of Ressafa, arrival to Palmyra, free evening, dinner & overnight. Day 08 After breakfast, Palmyra sightseeing including the temples, the theater, the tombs, the oasis, etc. In the afternoon, departure to Damascus, dinner & overnight. Day 08 After breakfast, full day Damascus city tour including: the straights street, House of St. Anania, Window of St. Paul, the St. Touma Gate, the Greek Orthodox Patriarchies. After a lunch break, visit of the Tomb of St. John inside the Umayyad Mosque, the Azem palace and the famous Oriental bazaars of Damascus.
